The firm has announced its Import, Export, and FTZ Training Seminar Schedule for 2020, with introductory, intermediate, and advanced level sessions. The introductory-level sessions are free for clients, while the intermediate and advanced sessions are offered for $500. FTZ 101: The broadest of our sessions, this seminar includes all topics that are relevant to individuals who are new to the FTZ program, as well as those who have been involved in the FTZ program for some time. It includes all basic subjects involving FTZ Board and Customs compliance. With respect to inventory control issues, both unique identifier number (UIN) and a zone lot number (ZLN) systems are included. Individuals in our organization currently involved in foreign-trade zones will conduct the seminar. This seminar is free for clients. Pending approval for 7.5 CCS Credits and 7.5 CES Credits in 2020.
FTZ 201: This comprehensive one-day seminar will focus on Advanced Foreign-Trade Zone management issues including ACE and ITDS filing deadlines, status and update, current Customs matters impacting FTZs, frequent serious management errors, and Customs Enforcement Actions, etc. Also included will be workshops on preparing the required Customs filings on Admissions, Imports, and Exports. The fee is $500 for clients. Pending approval for 7.5 CCS Credits and 7.5 CES Credits in 2020.
Import / Export 101: The broadest of our sessions, this seminar provides detailed information on a wide range of import and export issues, including: entry and export processes, classification, customs valuation, origin marking, Census AES reporting, and accurate document completion. This seminar is free for clients. Pending approval for 7 CCS Credits and 7 CES Credits in 2020.
Import / Export 201: This comprehensive one-day seminar includes training on INCOTERMS 2020 as well as more advanced sections on special trade programs (NAFTA, other FTAs, TIBs, etc.), export jurisdiction determination, export license determination, restricted parties screening, government enforcement actions and Prior Disclosures, U.S. trade sanctions and embargoes, and supply chain security. The fee is $500 for clients. Pending approval for 7 CCS Credits and 7 CES Credits in 2020.
Advanced Export: This seminar is intended to help companies ensure their export activities are in compliance. This detailed one-day training session intensively covers: the Export Process (necessary filings/time line); Export Control Reform; Census/AES Filing; Recordkeeping Requirements; Participating Government Agencies (CBP/BIS/DDTC/OFAC/Census/FDA/EPA/DOD, etc.); Jurisdictional Determinations (BIS/DDTC); Restricted Party Screening (RPS); Economic Sanctions/Embargos; Merchandise Classification (ECCN/USML); Export Valuation; Licensing (BIS/DDTC/OFAC); Detentions/Seizures; Errors/Disclosures; Anti-Boycott Laws; and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. It also includes a workshop with practical exercises. The fee is $500 for clients. Pending approval for 7 CES Credits in 2020.
Seminars are approved by the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) for Certified Customs Specialists (CCS)and/or Certified Export Specialists (CES) credits
